Darla's Blindfold February roars violently from out of the west across the flat expanse of white fields surrounding the sprawling ranch home. Window panes rattle in their frames. The rattle reverberates at Darla Weston's ear. Sleet peppers white cold frosted glass. Fear follows the blow that shook the rafters over her head and beyond the wood and the glass the temperature continues to plummet. "David?" Darla calls out questioning. Darla's question asked softly is hardly a whimper above the storm brewing beyond the French doors that rattle a warning of the worst yet to come. "You downloaded that app three months ago! Aren't you ever going to use it?" Jessica asked as she sat her son down in the playpen next to my daughter. Chapter 29 - Councilwoman Rogers Eveline was not really a politician before she won the election. She really did not even consider herself a serious candidate. As far as she was concerned, running for office was nothing more than a publicity stunt that her boss had set up to bring notoriety to her modeling career. Well, now she was a public official. Not just any public official, but the first full-time nudist public official ever elected in the US. She was now a public figure, with a lot of media attention directed towards her.
